Improving the Chicago Region’s Future Through Food
Fresh Taste is a collaborative funding initiative formed in 2002 by a group of foundations and public officials, Fresh Taste actively works to change how food is accessed, produced, and consumed in the greater Chicago region. Supported by the Fresh Taste staff, members and participating funders collaborate, share insights, and align grant-making to achieve greater impact across the food system.
Austin Fresh is a collaborative grant-making program, started in 2020, to increase access to healthy affordable food, support community gardens and local food production, grow food enterprises, and protect and strengthen food assistance programs in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago.
